YOP – year 7, week 9

YOP 7 banner 2

Back this week with an update for the YOP year. I missed last week as I just didn’t have any progress on any of the projects to show you. I had been working straight through the weekend on work projects that had deadlines. I’ve met those deadlines and was able to get back to my personal projects in my down time this last couple of days, so here is this weeks progress.

Grace has moved on and I am now at the point of knitting straight on the patterning part until I need to split for the arms. This was just as delightful to pick up again and knit and is still my favourite project at the moment to knit on.

I’ve made progress on the toe-up Wildflower Honey sock that I was finishing off. I’ve now just started the heel flap so half way there and really an evening brought me from the toe to this point.

I want to get this one finished and off the needles as I released the Wildflower Honey sock pattern and today I’m starting an Instagram KAL for it #wildflowerKAL and I want to join in. My yarns are picked and I’ll be caking those and starting them today for that. These will be counted towards my sock total for the year as these are just for me!

My Gráinne shawl has been worked on, the second lace section is now complete and I’ve started the third garter stitch section, so right now I’m just knitting on every row making this a great TV project.

  1. I am not sure how you have time for personal knitting and designing, running KALs etc. But I am sure glad you do. I love the colour of your Grainne and your Grace is beautiful as well.

  2. Your projects are all so lovely and I don’t know where you get your yarns but they are always scrumptious!

Thank you Sam, most of my yarns are Eden Cottage Yarns from the UK, I just love all her colours, they suit me and my taste perfectly all the time. 🙂

  3. Becki says:

Your Grace sweater is going to be just beautiful in the yarn you’ve chosen (as is everything else I see here). And I echo the comments above – I’m always in awe of what you are working on, how many different things you manage, and how beautiful are your photos, Ruth.

  4. Rain Frances says:

Hi Ruth 🙂 Your projects really do look so pretty. I can’t say enough about your choice of colours, they are so feminine, I love them!

  5. Marsha says:

I really like the colors for the next wildflower honey KAL. Where do you find the time for all your knitting? Do you ever sleep?
