YOP – year 5 week 39

YOP 5a

So last weeks update didn’t happen…there was just nothing to report on, not that there is much more this week.

New designs are moving along, this one is Farraige and I’m expecting the sample to be off the needles this week and the pattern at least drafted by mid week. The second (cream one) needs a little finishing off and it’s pattern drafted up from the charts I made and followed.

Farraige

Ériu the last shawl in The Éire Collection which will be out week after this has been back on a photoshoot for some close up pics. Couple of things left to do with it and it will be ready to go.

After that not much else has been happening, the kitchen decoration is still progressing, walls have been sealed and painted, woodwork has been primed and is getting some undercoat, it will then get it’s top coat, after that I just need to take care of the presses and I think it might be close to being finished then.

And there you have it for this past two weeks, short and sweet.

The list, it looks something like this;

    I’m sure you will be glad to get your kitchen back…can’t wait to see the next shawl…and that blue yarn seems like it is glowing…

  2. Lucy Bowen says:

    Not much going on!! Only three patterns and a kitchen to finish!! Your doing great as always – enjoy the holidays.

  3. Stefanie says:

    I love how you have a very reasonable list for YOP, Ruth. You know most have insane amounts and unless one didn’t have to work and could just sit and knit all day would they’d be finished. How exciting the last of the collection is almost complete. I may start a small design, been kind of itching to.

      Yes this years list is extremely tame isn’t it by my normal standards but I really wanted to concentrate on my designing and have very little distractions. I’d like to have gotten some more socks done but apart from that I’m actually quite pleased with how it’s gone…who knows I may be converted to this restraint type of working 😀 Now your design, oh yes yes yes do give it a go, would love to see!

    You may not have felt like there was anything to write last week, but I missed reading a post from you all the same. ;^) That is a most lovely shade of blue you’re making the Farraige sample with. I can’t wait to see the finished item.
