YOP – Year 5 week 36

YOP 5a

This week I’ve been charting, then tweaking those charts, working out the smaller little kinks in some new designs and then starting them, well staring one. I had planned on starting the two new designs but I got so caught up in this new silk/merino (cream) one that I couldn’t drag myself away from it to start the second (blue) one 🙂

These here are also going to take up the bulk of this coming working week, along with the kitchen re-decoration that has started!

Today here in Ireland is Mothers Day and it is Alans 13th birthday, another teenager in the house! 🙂 So we are going to celebrate together and have fun! Cake and reading may be involved along with maybe some knitting and movie watching and whatever else takes our fancy!

Now the list, it looks something like this;

  1. Marsha says:

    Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Birthday to Alan the teenager. The cream yarn looks scrumptious, so I can understand not wanting to leave it alone. Good luck on the kitche redecorating. Don’t forget photos of before and after. We might be crafters, but we all know what it is like to redo areas of a house. It can be a bit stressful to say the least. Thank goodness for our crafts to keep us sane.

    • Ruth says:

      Thanks Marsha, I’ve got some before shots and will take some after shots once it done hit your right it’s upheaval, good job there is knitting!

  2. Enjoy the celebrations and the cake! I’ll be interested to see and hear about the kitchen re-decoration.

  3. Lucy Bowen says:

    Oh wow, look at those new yarns, I love both of them. Hope you had a lovely day and have a productive week.

  4. Becki says:

    The silk merino looks luscious. It must be a dream to work with. Happy celebrations! And I echo the others in that it would be fun to see pics of the kitchen redo. :^)

  5. Stefanie says:

  6. Happy Belated Birthday to Alan and Mother’s Day to you! Your yarns are so beautiful and I wanted to reach out and touch them….they look luxurious!
