This week I’ve finished the commissioned blanket and I don’t mind saying it looks pretty darn awesome! I really want one of these for my sitting room couch so when I get some free time I think I’m going to work one up in this colourway. I’ve made notes on my project page here including the colour order for each section I’ve worked, so making another will be simple enough.
Now it’s back to some designs some of which are being delayed because they need their official photographs taken. I’m hoping to get a move on all these this week so that by the end of the month the first of a new set of designs, The Éire Collection for one, can be released!
I would also really like to get back to some socks, it’s been far too long from I’ve gotten to work on them and Fledermaus are still sitting waiting patiently to be finished.
Now the list, it looks something like this;

Ruth.
Wow, it’s just beautiful! It’d be hard to give that one away, especially as it sounds like you’ve got the perfect spot for it on your sofa! The thought of weaving in all those ends would put me off – but you’re so self-disciplined, they’re already done!
I had to do them as I was going along, otherwise I may have actually cried at the end having to do them all!
It has a great array of color for any season.
It does doesn’t it 😊
Love it. I also follow Lucy at Attic 24 – her colour combinations are great, such an eye for colour. I am gradually working my way through all her blankets alongside a few projects of my own. This one is my favourite I have made so far.
Oh wow, it is gorgeous and I can see exactly why you would want one for yourself. Hope you get your photos this week.
Let’s hope so!
The blanket is terrific, Ruth! I have this blanket on my mental to-do list and I will look forward to checking out your notes.
Congratulations on the blanket, it looks lovely!
Thanks 😊
