YOP – Year 5 week 20

YOP 5a

Fíorghrá my newest pattern was released this week. Fíorghrá means “true love” in Irish and it is a lace beaded scarf of hearts made up from tear drop shapes. Starting from a provisional crochet cast on one side is worked then stitches are picked up and the other side is knit. A lace beaded scallops finish off the ends to give a feminine romantic look to the scarf. I used one skein of yarn for the sample but details are given on the pattern on how to adapt the scarf. Pattern can be purchased from my Ravelry store here and feel free to drop in and join in the chat in my group for this pattern here, I’d love to hear if your knitting this pattern and what yarn you’re using and of course I’d love to see the finished items.

Thank you Lucy, yes it is exciting, I’m looking forward to getting involved as well from a knitters point as well, not just as a designer. Best of both worlds 🙂

Your Fíorghrá is beautiful. As is your dress form you have it displayed on – I love that. Going now to check out the Indie Design Gift-A-Long. Thanks you for the link, Ruth.

  7. Your list is looking good and your new design is lovely. Unfortunately, I don’t have time for either but I’m sure many will participate. Good luck to all!
