YOP – Year 5 week 13

YOP 5a

Last Sunday I worked on Streusel and I’m very nearly at the end of the increases and will soon beginning the decrease section. I’m hoping to continue working on this today.

The Forest Moon of Endor socks is now on the heel and hopefully also later today I will be turning the heel. I’m pretty sure this is a fleegle heel? It doesn’t say in the instructions and I’m not even sure if I’m right with that, or why I even think it’s a fleegle heel. What it is, is a new to me heel so I’ll let you know how that goes.

Last week you remember the design and now far along that was, yes well this was it earlier in the week. It is now further on but nothing worth taking a picture of because I can’t really show you anyway.

The other thing I’ve been busy with this week is cloths. While waiting on the school runs I’ve been crocheting up a few. They are needed and designs are too complicated to be taking along in the car, can you imagine those beads! Anyway the cloths are the perfect take along project in the car and I’ve gotten these two done just on school runs. This week I’m hoping to get a couple more done. I just let the children raid my cotton stash to pick their preferred colours and I use a simple pattern from my head.

    OOH! I love streusal…just stunning.

  2. Oh your Streusel shawl looks so pretty. Nearly halfway now, that’s great progress!

Still loving the Forest Moon of Endor socks. Your Zauberballe is knitting up beautifully – it almost looks like a moonlit night sky!

  3. Mrs P says:

I adore your Streusel shawl, the yarn is out of this world ❤

  4. Kepanie says:

The beginnings of this shawl is great, Ruth. It’s like the sky slowly moving toward sunrise. I love this mesh of blues for your Endor socks. It’s like the planet bathed in a funky blue. I don’t blame you about not wanting to take the beads in car. The cloths are great.

  5. Lucy Bowen says:

Love the little cloths that look so neat. Streusel is just gorgeous and the blue you are using for your socks is stunning.

  6. salpal1 says:

streusel is so pretty – love the colors! Can’t wait to see what you do with the beads…

  7. Becki says:

Oooh… another look at your beautiful yarns. :^) Everything looks so pretty. And even those stitch markers are impressive. Note to self: remember that one of my personal goals is to make some stitch markers. Some pretty ones like Ruth has. ;^)

  8. silkandwool says:

Great progress! What is the stitch you are using for your cloths?
