YOP – Year 4 week 25

charly

This week I finished off a couple of projects. This piece was completed for this months article as well as it being a gift piece. It’s been gifted and loved and I now need to write the article for it.

??????????

I discovered late last Sunday I was going to run out of yarn to finish off Caoimhe’s Westlynn Wrap. I ordered some and thankfully it arrived towards the end of the week and last night I put the last few rows onto the wrap and cast off. It now just needs threads finishing along with buttons for all three wraps. This now completes all my Christmas gift knitting.

This my Christmas gift knitting now complete it’s time to concentrate on what I’m changing my yop list to next week. My old list just simply won’t work with what’s happening in the new year so the decision came down to either changing the list to allow me to still continue on with yop year or else bow out. Naturally I decided to just simply change the list after all there are no hard and fast rules.

Just as a fun project late last night I cast on this hat that I’m making up as I go along. I sure do hope my numbers are right on it. It’s a simple 2×2 ribbed hat, what makes it exciting is I’m knitting it with some handspun yarn I picked up a couple of weeks back from a fair I was hat. The lady was handspinning it from fleece she got from her Jacobs sheep on her farm. Needless to say I spent most of my time at that fair chatting to that lady about spinning. Especially as it’s something I want to get more into next year. That’s just for fun, not for my yop list though lol But I’m sure I’ll show and share that journey with you.
