YOP – Year 4 week 12

This weeks yop post sees a lot of concentration on the third rainbow blanket for the set a quick cloth to finish off the Strawberry Ruffles set and I have been working fairly consistently on Ériu as well and I’m nearing the stage where I want to add on the border, this I would like to see happen by next weekend.

The FO post for the Rainbow Corners blanket is here for anyone who may have missed it.

Thank you all for your suggestions on the third rainbow blanket they gave me a great kick start as to what I could or would do.

I eventually settled on a chevron pattern and after looking at a few worked on my own kind of numbers and pattern.

I am now this far and I am expecting each colour to be worked once in the pattern repeat I’ve chosen with an extra pattern repeat of the red at the top/bottom to finish it off.

The last cloth in the Strawberry Ruffles Set was grey edged with pink combo, here is it and the now complete set.

As I said these were the main two projects that were my focus this week along with Ériu but we can’t see her yet until she is finished.

I also need to catch up with FO posts having not gotten time to do one for the Eole cardigan so that will be this week along with a FO post on the Strawberry Ruffles Cloth.

This week I’m aiming to get a considerable bit done on the Rainbow Chevrons Blanket along with Ériu and perhaps mix it up with a quick cloth or two as well.

To read other blogs taking part or to join in the fun as well pop over to the group here.

My project page is up to date and can be found here with notes on all of this years projects so far.

  1. Ripples are always lovely. You have such a good eye for colour. This one’s going to be a beauty as well. Looking at your list, I think it’s about time to start a shawl! Unless you’re committed to Christmas knitting. That’s what my needles will be occupied with over the next while 🙂

I love a ripple… but then you know that… this set of blankets are going to be very special Ruth x

  3. mmmyc6 says:

I really like the look of those cloths together! Very nice. And the blanket looks like it will be cozy 🙂

  4. Lucy Bowen says:

I love the look of the blanket – gorgeous just like the rest. Looking forward to seeing your shawl.

  5. I adore those blankets you’ve done. Did you say they’re all going to the same baby? What a beautiful set and gift to give. Your ruffled cloths are pretty in the coordinated colors. Are you still making the amigurumi items? Are you keeping your shop separate from your YOP’s. Any way you look at it you get an amazing amount done and all perfectly stitched too. Give the kids a big hug! I hope school is going well for those in it. Have a great week.

  6. Mrs P says:

Such beautiful work, I’m completely in awe

  7. Kim says:

Your rainbow blankets are beautiful—I wish I had the patience to tackle a blanket! Your little ruffled cloths are adorable too. You are so talented!
