Wip Yarn Along

Wip Yarn Along

For the most part this week I’ve been working on Caoimhe’s Sunday Sweater, an easy knit in the evenings at the end of busy days. The body of it is being worked up quite quickly and I love this purple yarn. For buttons I’ve been thinking I wanting something eye popping.

During the day I’ve been snatching some time here and there connecting some squares on the Flanders Poppies blanket, this is going to be an xmas present for my youngest daughter Evelyn.

I’ve been working through books on my kindle of late. I’ve just finished the first two books in the Nora Roberts The Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy. This series is set in Ireland, in Co.Mayo to be exact and being from Ireland and knowing the area the books are set in I was intrigued. Both books were quick light reads, perfect summer reading really.

I’ve since moved on Darcy’s Decision the first book in the Given Good Principles Set by Maria Grace, again very light mindless reading but whether I finish it or not remains to be seen, it’s a prelude to Pride and Prejudice and it feels all wrong but we shall see.

That is a nice purple. It’ll be cute on your daughter. The blanket is coming along wonderfully. Glad you’re getting in some written word.

I love the color of the sweater and the poppy blanket is very cute. I like Nora Roberts too. She makes reading so easy and enjoyable.

  3. The poppies are eye popping! That is such a great combination and is really pretty. The sweater is precious and does that yarn have sparkle or is it heathered? Whatever it is really lovely and the shade of lilac is just right.
I have the 1st book in the trilogy by Nora Roberts too. I don’t read her much but when I saw it was about Ireland and an Irish family I had to buy it. I have to go mow but I’ll have some new “cast ons” come Sunday!

  4. P.S. About the Blackberrry Salad…….just let me know when you’re ready. Probably after this month sometime as I have company coming but after they’ve come and gone I will have more time. Just let me know. Of course, I will never be able to keep up with you but I sure will give the old college try! LOL!

Love it! Love it all…….just wish I had more time to read. ::sigh::
