FOfridayI’ve one FO or Finished Object for show this week.

I’ve called this my Apple Ruffle cloth.

This is a simple Tunisian Simple Stitch cloth with a starting ch of 36.

With wanting to learn Tunisian crochet I thought it best to start with a simple stitch and work up from there and I find washcloths the best to learn stitches. Quick and simple shapes that allow you practice the stitch and at the end you have a useful item.

For this cloth I was also trying out a new to me yarn, this is worked in a James C Brett Cotton On DK yarn in green and cream. It’s a 50% Cotton 50% Acrylic yarn so we shall see how it withstands the usage. I find the 100% Cotton yarns quite hard when making but also when using and I normally use a 50/50 Cotton/Bamboo blend but was gifted this and decided to try it out. If this yarn is suitable I’ll make some cloth sets up with it ready for gifting.

The edging was a regular crochet edge and really just sets off the green of the cloth.

My project page for it can be found here.

That gives a really nice finish – although I think all of your crochet stitches are neat! Hope your yarn stands up well.

The frilly border is cute. It really feminizes the dishcloth.
