Rainbow Nesting Bowls

As promised yesterday here is the big reveal with all the pictures of the recently completed Rainbow Nesting Bowls.

I started with red for the largest and used two strands of Stylecraft Special held double with a 3.5mm hook

This gave a good tight gauge.

Not happy with the height of each bowl with the stated amount of rows I added two rows extra to each bowl.

The last few bowls were done over a day as they weren’t very big.

The pattern only had 6 bowls but I couldn’t have a set of Rainbow Nesting Bowls without having 7 colours.

With the yarn held double I ended up with a set of bowls that were not only soft and pliable but also held enough structure for them to be used as stacking cups.

They turned out really well and I’m sure Evelyn will enjoy not only stacking them but using them for storing odds and ends in.

I can imagine the little beauty babbling away while stacking them and then making them timber! I can see her treatin’ them like frisbees too or putting her toys in them.
