I’m linking in with Sarah at Crafts from the Cwtch for today’s update.

Since last weeks update I’ve been working steadily on Leprechaun each evening. The lace is not something you can work on with small ones running about so I’ve been keeping it just for evening time to work on.

Tuesday evening saw me complete the last lace section.

Wednesday night I began casting off and boy does that picot cast off take time ! After working on the cast off for 3 hours I still had some left and just had to call it quits for the day and head to bed. This morning I cast off the last bit !. It does look great the picot bind off but it does take time !

I knit the small size on the Quite Continental as I want this as a shawl I can wear scarf like around my neck to and so I didn’t want it overly big.

After casting off this morning I took a quick photo and then blocked it, it is now pinned out and drying!.

Here it is before blocking and just off the needles.

I have the pattern for Temptress here, the description of this one sold me so I’ve picked it out as my next shawl. I have some white silk mohair that I may just use on this along with some clear beads. I just have to decide if that will all work together with the shawl pattern I’ve picked. The KAL is running until the end of August so I may leave this one a week or two to cast on or I may not be able to wait that long. Either way it’s still not to late for you to join in.

Looks gorgeous Ruth! I can’t believe you’ve finished already, I am so far off….as you say it’s finding the time in relative peace to concentrate on it, and that’s seems for me to be hardly at all since I finished the stocking stitch part.

Well done, looking forward to seeing it blocked!
