YOP Year 2 Update

This week has been a busy as usual. With end of year meetings in school and some for Benjamin who starts in September not to many evenings were free. With Caoimhe and my Dads birthdays both next Sunday and a big family celebration next weekend I wanted to give Caoimhe a party with her friends. This we did yesterday and I will do a whole blog post for it on Tuesday if you all want to check back. I did make her the most delicious cake.

So this week I was working on the next few hair bands I wanted for both her and Elizabeth. Elizabeth celebrates her third birthday a couple of days after Caoimhe and my Dad.

The pink is for Elizabeth and the white for Caoimhe.

This is the next one I did for Caoimhe and I just need to do another one for Elizabeth which will be in lemon.

I was going to make some for my own hair as it’s beenΒ  jaw length for the past few months. This is it here at James confirmation in April.

Well last night I got it cut and dyed it my favourite colour for the summer and well you can see why I won’t be needing a hairband !

Lol now that I’m finished showing off my new hair cut back to yop.

I did work some more on Caoimhe’s bag, this is the pick from last week and it has grown a little bit more but not enough to warrant taking a picture just yet. This I need to finish asap as it needs to be ready for Sunday !

I also worked on gathering up all my pictures over the last year for my end of year yop post. Who knew there were quite so many so I have some of the work started. I also worked on my list and it’s theme and it’s very nearly complete all for a third year.

If you are wanting to check out more about the group or indeed join in next year. We love new members. Check out the group on Ravelry here.

I need to take more photographs…with things that aren’t my iPhone. I need a better camera.

I also need to do something with my hair. It’s going gray and I dislike that immensely. ::sigh:: I don’t like getting old.

Great new summer haircut Ruth. I love the headbands and the bag is looking good.

Sounds like you are pretty busy….but as you say a house with eight kids is never going to be quiet. I like the hairbands, really cute, I like your summer ‘do’ too.

Looking forward to the cake post!

I love how your son always stands so proudly next to you. Your accessory projects are cute! Love your short ‘do. So modern and fun. It’s liberating, yeah? The color rocks!

Thank you, my son is totally cool and as he enters his teenage years I hope it always remains so. I just love my new “do”, maintenance free really !

  6. Wow – I missed this update – your hair looks fantastic! You have a great shaped face. (If I shaved my head, I’d look just like a football!!!) πŸ˜€
