Stitching Update

I’ve noticed of late most of my blogs are about knitting or reading but I am still stitching, just at a slightly slower pace than previously. I find the knitting easier to take up and put down through the day and not all of my evenings are free to stitch I’ve found. Well I knew with a little one coming along this was likely to happen so I’m not overly surprised by it.

Having said all that I am enjoying the direction my blog is heading. I’m liking now that I’m blogging several days of the week on different things and I’m enjoying the amount of knitting, reading and stitching I’m getting squeezed into my week. I do have some more recipes to upload for the recipe section, I’ve been slack of late in updating but I have been baking, I’m always baking something if truth be known, so I’ll have to set out a day for that !

I have to say my joy of blogging has returned ten fold. I fell out of love with it a bit last year and I’ve been slowly getting the love of it back. I don’t get round to all the blogs I follow, I do try to comment and visit on those who always visit and comment on mine.I’ve started some challenges this year and I may pare these back some to just the basic love of each craft as I’ve been forgetting to update on some of them. This is a very roundabout way of getting back to this weeks stitching post, the scenic route if you will.

Last week I started another Kris Kringle by Prairie Schooler. This is my fourth one in this series of eight. I really like these designs.

Kris Kringle – Prairie Schooler

I’m enjoying stitching this so I’m going to continue with him for another week. I love his green coat. Again he’s being stitched on 28ct cream linen and I’m using DMC threads. My aim for this piece for the week finish it if the mood strikes and start something else that takes my fancy.

I like reading about a lot of different things. And, like you, I've moved from just writing about my stitching to writing about all the crafts I work on. I think it is more interesting to read and to write. I look forward to reading more! Also, I love the Santa!

Kris Kringle looks great in his green coat! I still think you're an incredibly organized mom to be able to keep up with your stitching, knitting, reading, and baking, and blogging about it all, while having a house full of children! Wow!

I love how you're so well-rounded and happy. That green for the Santa is perfect with the white and cream.

  5. Your Santa is a very handsome fellow. Glad you're feeling like blogging. I have the desire, just can't seem to find the time to post as often as I'd like.

  7. It's funny you would say that because I feel the same way about my blog…I like the variety of the stitching, knitting, crocheting and reading and like you I have recipes to upload and haven't done it. You're a big inspiration for me and I so enjoy visiting you and seeing what you're working on. It always gets me off my duff! LOL!I went to sew up my little Cass Kidson cross stitch into the purse it's supposed to be and would you believe, I've been organizing my sewing/dining room and now I can't even find my pins! That'll teach me to go around cleaning and organizing! LOL!Meanwhile, I have dug out some UFO in the cross stitch area that I'll be picking back up again. I'll be posting that soon I hope!I like the fact that you have various groups and challenges and I have enjoyed that although I can't seem to keep them straight but I'll get there hopefully. Take care! And give the kids a big hug! They're all such darlings.

  8. That is a beautiful shade of green on Kris's coat! Heaven forbid that I should only blog about one craft! Keep blogging about it all! =)
