YOP Year 2 Update

Evening Bloggers,

Finally getting here to catch up with you all, its been a day that’s been running away with itself lol.

Its been a busy week here, we had Dominic’s birthday on Tuesday and he turned 11, a tummy bug hit the house but luckily Ruairí and Elizabeth were the only ones hit with it and had recovered in 24 hours and towards the end of the week I had my cousins wedding so there has been a bit of coming and going.

I’m glad I got all that I wanted to do done on the knitting front.

First up is the baby jumper from the free baby booklet I got, its called Sabine Jumper.
This is it just off the needles.

This is the jumper with the neck and the threads finished, ready for blocking

This was it this morning with buttons added on and all dry from blocking

This is it of course with its intended sleepsuit and who could resist a little Winnie The Pooh.

I had intended to start Elizabeth’s hat but ended up finishing off the Smitten Garland . I had four mittens left to do.

Mini Mittens

I now have all 24 mittens complete and have started to buy the little chocolates I want to put into them for the children. Each set of three has not been repeated design wise.

24 Mini Mittens for Advent Garland

I was supposed to get round to updating my list and adding it into the bottom of the post again but time was not on my side this week so hopefully that will be a job for this week. I’m also intending to move on to Elizabeth’s hat and the garland for these mittens.

Looking forward to checking in to what you have all been doing.

Happy knitting,
Ruth.
