Theme-a-licious and March Goals

Morning Bloggers !

This morning is bright and sunny and I’ve turned the corner on my cold, my head now feels part of my body lol. I feel ready to tackly lots of things today so first off on the list is my update and March Makeover on the blog.

With it being March and St. Patrick’s Day being celebrated in March how could I not have gone with shamrocks as a theme this month. I’m liking it, now if something is hard to read or anything do just let me know.

Theme-a-licious for me this month was a roaring success. Of course the fact that I picked Pride and Prejudice themed pieces helped enormously.

On my list was.

  1. My Mrs Darcy Sampler
  2. My Mr Darcy Letter

Both pieces are by The Sampler Girl and I got both pieces complete and the Mrs Darcy got framed. My Mr Darcy’s Letter needs a frame which I’ll order next week but I know what I want look wise for it and it was totally swooonnnnn a licious stitching it. I swear I could hear Colin Firth saying it to me while I stitched it rofl…

Mrs Darcy finished and framed.
Mr Darcy

Now for the month of March the theme is March Madness.

March Madness

Stitch or knit on something different every day…it’s madness…of the funnest possible kind.

Now as I have my rotation finally working to plan with a change on that happening every 10 hours I’m normally getting two if not onto a third project on a week but that dosen’t quite meet this but with it and my knitting I’m confident I can meet this challenge. So thats 2/3 projects a week stitching wise and I know I’ve got 5 projects knitting wise on the go at the moment so thats me sorted. I can feel this month is going to be hectic lol.

If you want to join in with the Theme-a-licious check out the details HERE

Last month I set out my goals that I wanted to aim towards and here is where I stand with them now.
February’s Goals ;

  • Finish Robin Hood in time for Alan’s birthday. DONE
  • Finish January’s Cottage in the CCN Cottage series. NOT DONE with a new project rotation.
  • Work some more on hubby’s hunting picture.DONE about another 10 hours work to finish it.
  • Work on both Mrs Darcy Sampler and Pride and Prejudice Love Letter as part of the theme-a-licious challenge.DONE
  • Finish January’s ornament and complete an ornament for February.DONE
  • Finish knitting James Gryffindor BeanieDONE AND A RAVENCLAW BEANIE DONE

  • Finish knitting the Victorian Spring Scarf and start the next scarf on the listPENDING A DECISION I’ve knit this to a certain length now I’m debating whether it needs more or not
  • Knit 4 dishcloths.DONE

All in all I’m pleased with the progress I made on this list the cottage was down to the new rotation going into place but when it get s added to the rotation I’m sure it will get complete. Caoimhe’s sock is being worked on this week but it will be March when completed and I will make a decision on the scarf in the next couple of days.

March Goals –

  • Complete hubby’s hunting picture.
  • Make good progress on both the Hogwarts Crest and the Fishing picture both birthday presents for later in the year and are being added to the rotation this month.
  • Complete Caoimhe’s horse picture for her birthday.

I commend you for having monthly goals! Congratulations on your finishes too – they are beautiful! For March, I'm going to do as you suggested and try and step a bit outside my comfort zone. I'm not knitting much these days and maybe I can throw something in there to jump start my knitting. I'm hoping to add another stitching project too. BUT today is only day 1 so I'm working within my comfort zone so Ann Dale it is!Thank you for visiting my blog. It looks like you're set up as a No-Reply blogger so I wasn't able to email you back.
