Finished Cushions

Well now I have two weeks update for you all as last week I was very bad with a severe sceptic throat, I couldn’t even stitch I felt so bad and felt even worse when the dr debated sending me to the hospital, luckily he was able to help me get on the mend with some medication without that drastic step !
Thankfully this week I seem to be over the worst of it and just in time to as this Friday Lucie comes to visit for the weekend, I am so excited to see her again and Lucie, Tricia and I are heading to Heathers on Saturday for her 40th birthday party so I’m hoping the weekend is going to be a blast from start to finish. I promise to bring the camera and take photos of when we get together, stitching and tea and cake shall be involved with plenty of conversation and laughter, what more could you ask for !!

Now for some stitching, well I finished Elizabeths cushion, it was late but I was sick in my defence lol.
Here is a picture of the finished piece, it came out so cute I think.

Elizabeths Cushion

I posted a picture of the cushion I made for Caoimhe on Cross Stitch Crazy’s facebook wall and they looked for me to send them in a picture so I very cheekily sent them a picture of the two, both Caoimhe’s and Elizabeths lol, will be interesting to see if they feature them.

Elizabeth and Caoimhe’s Cushions

I also finished a piece for an exchange that I can’t show you right now but as soon as my partner has received I’ll pop up a picture for you all to see. It is a Lizzie Kate design though, just to tease you all lol

Towards the end of last week, my friend Lucie informed me that the Daylight Company were looking for people with blogs with a good following to review a light from them. I sent off my details on the off chance that I may be suitable and within half an hour I was told if I picked out a light they would send it on for me to do a review of, I can’t believe how lucky that was and I owe a big thank you to Lucie for telling me, otherwise I may not have noticed it on my facebook page. I have been using it all week so far and I am very very impressed and early next week I shall be putting up my review. Thank you to all my followers too beacuse if it wasn’t for all of you guys they may not have considered me.

It was TUSAL time on the first and I did take a picture, lol,

I’ve also been doing some baking with the children and this past two weeks we’ve made some Red Velvet Cupcakes, some Banana Bread and my personal favourite a Tea Brack. All were devoured in no time at all and requests for more have been made lol. Next time I may get to take some pictures of them before they get eaten lol.

Thats it all for this week and welcome to my new followers and I love to read all your comments, I hope you are all not having anymore trouble with commenting as I know some had difficulties.

Happy stitching,
Ruth
