This week has been a good week stitching wise. I’ve got a couple of finishes in.

Well as you all know this past two weeks I’ve been working on a Wedding Sampler, well I finished it yesterday evening.
I recently found an Irish website that sells frames and mounts so I think I’m going to give them a go and see how I get on framing this myself. Ahhh this could be a great thing or a disaster but I think its time to bite the bullet so to speak and give framing a go myself.

Here is the finished piece without the frame…check back to see the framing attempt lol

The finished sampler before framing

The next finish of the week was Margaret Sherry’s Little Kate for a friends RR.
This finishes me up with round robins and allows me more time for stitching things for presents and for my own walls which in recent years have been bare.

Little Kate

My last couple of finishes for the week were a hanger and notebook for my friend.
I used a picture out of the World of Cross Stitch issue 162 magazine.

Last bit of news is some new stash that arrived during the week.
The threads are for April Fools Folly and the evenweave is to make sure I have enough to replace the Aida in the kits. I just can’t seem to get back to grips with Aida anymore. The little kit is a pheasant kit the children picked for my husbands birthday. Now to stitch it without him seeing !

New Stash

To all my new and recent followers I want to say a big hello and welcome to my blog, lovely to have you here. Feel free to comment away I love reading what you all have to say.

This week I’m starting the April Fools Folly so for the first 15 days I’ll have some more regular updates.

I’m also about to start on a design of my own for my Mum’s Mothers Day gift. Its a bit daunting as its my design. What I will say is its bingo related as she loves to play bingo and the idea was given to my by my younger sister. Will have more on that hopefully next week.

Happy stitching,
Ruth
