Biscobud

From my list of 12 new things to make I’ve decided to make a biscobud for the month of January.

After seeing the original pattern and layout I wasn’t too happy with the size so I’ve made my one bigger.
The biscobud seems to be made up of one large square and one small square half the size of the bigger one.
Working with this dimensions it should come out the same as the original pattern if you stick to one square being half the size of the other.

Here is the layout of my squares. The larger one is 60 x 60 squares and the smaller one is 30 x 30 squares.
With this size I was able to pick a pattern of my own.

I’m also going to have a go making a tassell to hang from the bottom and I will attach a ribbon or loop to hang it up.

More pictures to follow as I attempt to make it up. lol

Here is the design all done ready to be put together.

Well I got the tassell made and here is a picture of it.

And here is the finished made up biscobud.

The finished biscobud.

This is the finished biscobud, I attached the tassell and made a plaited loop to hang it up with. It was easier in the end than I thought and was great fun to make.

January’s challenge is complete…now for February !
